Even though millions have suffered and died from Chagas disease, the disease is rather contained and its magnitude only recently realized.  In terms of containment, it is relatively unknown to areas other than Latin America and is especially prevalent within the Southern Cone.  The Southern Cone includes the following countries: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Paraguay and Uruguay. They are depicted as various shades of green in the picture.
