In order for something to improve global health it has to be effective, cheap, ubiquitous, acceptable and sustainable.  We argue that Mobile Global health fulfils all these criteria.  Prevention education has been proven to be very effective, access to cell phones is inexpensive, and ubiquitous, mobiles are acceptable in all societies, and people love their phones.
