In India, the Directorate of National Anti Malaria Program (NAMP) is the national nodal agency for prevention and control of major vector borne diseases. In pursuance of the concept of convergence , Government of India approved a National Vector Borne Disease Control Program by merging he NAMP, National filaria control Program and kala azar control Program . Japanese B encephalitis and Dengue /DHF were also included in the Program.
