Table 2 shows the comparison between subjects with asthma and controls according to age, gender, parental smoking, parental history of asthma, and feeding patterns. Subjects with asthma were found more likely to be male, to have a parental history of asthma, and to have been breast-fed. No difference in parental smoking status was observed between subjects with asthma and controls.
