The CDSMP has been implemented in many countries across the world and research showing positive benefits has been completed in many countries. Thus, the CDSMP is widely considered an evidence-based intervention improving positive self-management of chronic conditions and diseases. People with chronic diseases and conditions who complete this workshop are likely to become more activated and engaged in their health care and realize better health outcomes.
