The HONcode is an easy to understand charter made up of eight principles that are simple for any well-intentioned web publisher to implement.
If all eight principles are followed and confirmed by a review team from HON, accreditation is granted and the site can display the HONcode logo.
For visitors to the site, this is visual proof that the site contains quality information.
HON has worked hard to increase public awareness of the HONcode logo and its meaning.
