This year’s Women of Our World 2005 data sheet, the fourth edition that PRB has published since 1995, has data for 190 countries in the areas of demography, reproductive health, education, work, and public life. The chart includes 18 indicators, many of which compare women to men or women’s status during two time periods. The data on women’s status and progress provide reasons for both optimism and concern.
