  We have an active research program in yield enhancement for wheat, soybeans and corn which will be new agronomic traits.  This is wheat in this picture.  The larger plants on the left of the screen contain a yield gene.  These wheat plants have the ability to use nitrogen better -- there is a greater spike weight (biomass) which means more yield.

 

  Use of biotechnology and genomics will contribute to this potential breakthrough.
