Confusional state - Major defect is one of attention. Patient thinks less clearly and more slowly than normal. Stimuli are misinterpreted. Patient may have difficulty in following commands. Minor disorientation in time if mild but with more severe confusion may be disoriented in place. Difficult repeating numbers backwards and in repeating details of stories.
