There is a critical need for a better means to bring research and education closer together. There are several difficulties that global science faces. Science has expanded at a furious pace, with this our scientific focus  narrows because of the outpouring of knowledge.  This greatly impacts the teaching of science as it is virtually impossible to stay on top of the scientific literature.  The knowledge supply chain from the lab to the classroom in many disciplines is broken with knowledge taking years to wend its way from data collection to the lecture hall. Developing countries fall further and further behind as the price of the journals have skyrocketed and access becomes limited.  Scientists want to share their knowledge, now we have the chance.  The Library of Alexandria should be the center as it has been the pinnacle hub of mans/woman’s knowledge by using PowerPoint on the web as the medium.
