The Supercourse has spurred the development of a World Health Organization Non – Communicable disease Supercourse in collaboration with the Library of Alexandria. Dr. Ala Al’wan, the assistant director in charge of Non-communicable diseases and Dr. Ismail Serageldin, the head of the Library of Alexandria and Dr. LaPorte are developing this. Once again the concept is simple:

1.1. The major causes of death in the world are non-communicable diseases

2.2. Very few people in developed and non-developed countries have any training in NCD prevention

3.3. We need to establish effective, but inexpensive systems to create a local to global network of NCD experts

4.4. The Supercourse has over 2500 lectures on NCDs, and an enormous expertise

5.5. We plan to build “curricula in a box”, e.g. template slides and lectures that can be used in any school of higher education

6.6. These lectures can be taught be the best teachers, whether they be engineers, psychologists, physicians, etc.

7.7. At the end of the course the students will take a standardized test so that a NCD Student in Doha would be the same as in Moscow or Pittsburgh

8.8. WHO will issue a WHO NCD Certificate
