At this time, the campaign will include educational materials such as brochures and checklists on diabetes and CVD control for people with diabetes.

Yesterday, we kicked off the campaign with the ADA at a media briefing. We'll continue to work with the media to place articles about this important health issue in magazines, newspapers, and on TV and radio news shows. We plan to work with our minority working groups to develop tailored PSAs for each of the special population groups.

Our health care provider work group, which includes representatives from the AAFP, the ACP, the ADA, AADE, and the ADietA, is working with us to develop clinical practice tools to improve the quality of comprehensive diabetes care.

And, we will involve the program's 200 partner organizations in disseminating the campaign messages to their constituents.
