The blood film in Chronic Myeloid Leukemia. Maturing granulocytes at all stages of differentiation are present, the most numerous being the myelocyte and the neutrophil stages. An increase in basophils is usual, and a few blasts are also frequently present. The platelet count may be normal or increased.
