According to Anthony Gramsci, even though the whole world is made up of intellectuals, not everyone fulfills the social role of an intellectual. An intellectual is an individual capable of organizing and executing – a directive role in a functional or collective activity. The intellectual has been assisted by the acquisition of such skills in a schooling process, acquiring skills such as in understanding and organizing – directive functions.
