What types of information are most relevant to local planners?

Through ongoing collaboration with Manitoba Health, planners, decision-makers, and medical officers from the various RHAs in Manitoba, researchers have been able to identify and provide the data needed by the RHAs in decision-making.

POPULIS is used to generate profile data for individual RHAs, which can then be used to show how the regions’ health, socioeconomic risk, and health care use characteristics differ.

Data for four general categories of measures have been especially useful: demographic, socio-economic, health status, and health services.
