(Reference: Kouzes JM & Posner BZ (1995). The Leadership Challenge. Writing a personal best case, p.330).
In reviewing a leadership experience which can be considered a "personal best", the authors suggest to ask the following questions:
- What characterized the situation?
- What motivated you to engage in this project?
- What did you aspire to achieve?
- How did you involve others?
- What principles and values guided you and others?
- How did you recognize individuals/celebrate success?
- What lessons did you learn?
