These data from population study in North London conducted during three and half year period. You can see that the microalbuminuric subjects had elevated concentrations of insulin, proinsulin and Des 31,32 proinsulin suggesting that even in nondiabetic subjects microalbuminuria is a hyperinsulinaemic (insulin resistance) state.
