NIH and Science have stayed in their dark stove pipes. An NIH supercourse will be a like a window, allowing the scientists to peer out, and the world to peer into it. In addition we scientists are better able to develop transdisciplinary research as we will be able to see and understand what our colleagues in other disciplines are doing.

An agency of the US Department of Health and Human Services, the NIH is a Federal focal point for health research. Helping to lead the way toward medical discoveries that improve people’s health and save lives, NIH scientists investigate ways to prevent disease as well as the causes, treatments, and even cures for common and rare diseases. There is a critical need to share the discoveries of NIH researchers with the scientists in the US and worldwide. Supercourse is a wonderful tool to achieve this goal.
