There are several weaknesses of the household cluster survey methodology. They can be very costly in rural areas. As with any measure of immunization coverage, the validity of data may not be good if the immunization histories are not verified or validated. This method is also prone to bias when immunization coverage is spatially clustered or coverage is not homogenous among households in a cluster.
