Household cluster surveys are a common method to measuring immunization coverage and are used frequently in developing countries. Regions are divided into no-overlapping clusters or subpopulations and these clusters are sampled with probabilities proportional to their size. Households are then contacted until a sufficient number are identified within each cluster.
