of DIY now is Sri Sultan Hamengku Buwono X.

the Kingdom of Yogyakarta, there was
the kingdom of Mataram, founded by Panembahan Senopati in 17th century,
he was the ancestor of Sri
Sultan Hamengku Buwono I.
•Most
people of DIY still believe the glory of
kingdom and honor the
king like the king in the past. They still hold
Javanese tradition. This tradition also influences most
Javanese outside of DIY. Javanese constitutes the majority tribe in
Indonesia.
