Among American Indians or Alaska Natives, single-race adults, age 18 and older, 1999–2001, the following are overweight or obese — 76.6 % of men and 61.1 % of women are overweight (BMI of 25 or more). — Overall, 34.6 % are overweight but not obese and 34.2 % are obese. Among these, 38.0 and 38.6 % respectively were men and 31.3 and 29.7 % were women.
