The Concept Dictionary is the central component of MCHP’s knowledge repository. It operationally defines key measures and terms used by health researchers, detailing the development of new variables or the creation of variables based on existing data. Over 1000 glossary terms and 200 concepts have been documented and indexed. The glossary terms contain multiple links to relevant concepts, reports and websites; it therefore acts as gateway to a larger resource base.

The Complications and Comorbidities, Charlson Index, and ICD-10 concepts will be helpful in explaining the work that MCHP has completed concerning the material discussed in this lecture.
