At-risk youth such as HIV+ youth, homeless youth, gay/lesbian/bisexual youth, and youth of color have traditionally been hard to engage and retain in health care.

Recently, comprehensive care models which include ancillary services such as outreach, case management, and mental health services have grown in popularity. These services are believed to enhance retention in care among vulnerable populations, but few studies have examined their impact empirically.
