Definition: Texture is the size of the piece of food being eaten. There are  puree, ground, chopped and regular diets.

Oral motor patterns:  The type of tongue, jaw and facial movements necessary to consume each type of diet.

Problems-options: Problems with texture arise when it is too coarse or too fine.
