These data are from the United Kingdom Prospective Diabetes Study (UKPDS) 23, which evaluated baseline risk factors for CAD in patients with T2DM.1

The study found that five potentially modifiable risk factors for CAD exist in patients with T2DM.1

The study found that the top three major risk factors were LDL cholesterol, total cholesterol, and HbA1c.1
