The examination may reveal a spot diagnosis, but in general examination can be unremarkable. It is important to be observant and not to miss signs such as eschars, rashes and other telltale signs of travel related diseases. Injuries may also have to be further assessed. It is important to keep in mind that the present condition may be a pre-existing illness.
