Imputation is a difficult process due to the complex nature of adverse events (common clinical patterns may not be recognized), multiple therapy and individual clinical variability. Additionally, the retrospective process of spontaneous report and its context of suspicion might difficult and /or bias follow up and information collection, particularly concerning the exclusion of etiologic alternatives.
