Do not attempt
to come up with an integration model in isolation of the players. The establishment of a Working Group consisting of the Managers of Units with a vested interest in rationalisation and/or their IT advisers or data custodians is highly recommended. They should meet regularly to discuss current re-development experiences, future plans and modification of their databases, security concerns, feasibility of sharing reference tables, etc. Your recommendations should be in line with their suggestions. |
