Lanes: 1) molecular weight; 2) non-immune rabbit serum (negative reaction); 3) anti-O157 rabbit serum (positive reaction); 4-6) human serum samples that showed an intermediate response in ELISA test (positive reaction); 7, 8) positive human serum samples by ELISA test (positive reaction); 9) human serum samples negative in the ELISA test (negative reaction). The recognition of polysaccharide repeating units of LPS (ladder pattern), independently of its intensity was considered as a positive reaction.
