There are many ways to search for a
discussion list using electronic mail, but two main options:
Searching locally on a LISTSERVER, by sending an e-mail to the same LISTSERVER, with an order to reply with a listing of all the discussion lists which supports. Searching on a LISTSERVER which stands as capable for extending the search request to other LISTSERVERS. This kind of search works for Listserv type LISTSERVERS.
