The solid line is the best fitting dose-response curve; broken lines represent pointwise 95% confidence limits. The relative increase in daily mortality between any two levels of COH can be taken from the graph by subtracting the corresponding y-values and then exponentiating the difference. This provides an estimate of the mean change in daily counts of death per specified change in COH.
