Always pass a stomach tube through the nostril, and then conventionally 2-4 liters of mineral oil. Use a funnel with the nasogastric tube to perhaps give the horse 2-6 liters of water. Does the electrolyte balance need to be restored? How? Did you reflux any fluid with the stomach tube?

If the horse developed twisted gut—tortion of the small intestine—it will go to horse heaven. An operation could save it, but conditions in stables are usually such that this horse will be lost via accidental infection--contamination.

EVERYONE MUST AGREE that colic is not really being treated!

An undefined emergency is being resolved.
