Demark-Wahnefried et al. (71) showed that breast cancer survivors, even when weight stable, demonstrate trends toward decreasing lean body mass. Whether this is also an issue among survivors of other adult cancers, especially male and female reproductive tract cancers, is an important and timely research area that warrants further investigation.
