 Nature of Bam earthquake
  • On 26 December 2003, at 5:26 AM local time, an earthquake measuring 6.5 on the Richter scale struck the city of Bam and surrounding villages.
  • About hundred after shocks have been recorded within 1 month.

The epicenter of the earthquake was located at  29.01ºN – 58.26ºE,10 km, South-West of city of Bam.
