Informatics is one of the key areas
of research for the information revolution. The definition is here. I give it
because it is a relatively recent introduction into the language, initially from
Russian via French to English. A rare example of reverse Franglais.
My academic interest how is how 'best
evidence'
can be brought into consultations and used to 'best effect'.
I will compare
consultations in the industrial era with those in the very near future. I will
also discuss some of the implications of this research area for medical
education.
