For this project, we needed three different sets of data. First, we needed the addresses of all mammography facilities in and around the state. Second, we needed a way to accurately model the location of women within Vermont. Finally, we needed an electronic road atlas that included all roads that could be used by a woman to get to a mammogram facility. These pieces of information could then be used to determine the shortest road distance for Vermont women to their closest mammogram facility.
