The GCT is performed between 24-28 weeks of gestation. A level of > 140 mg/dl is considered abnormal.

There are two methods of performing the OGTT, according to the amount of the glucose load. The first, following the WHO recommendation (75 gr.) and the second, as recommended by the National Diabetes Data Group (100 gr.) The next slide presents the different diagnostic criteria for the interpretation of the results of the OGTT.
