Moreover, they could choose to have fewer children, knowing fully well that these children will survive, and would therefore invest more in the education and health of each child. Improvement in health will lead to increase in revenue, sustained economic growth and lower population growth.
On the social environment, the stigma of the disease among the congregation members will be reduced and they will be more capable of helping AIDS orphans and PLWH. The involvement of AIDS orphans and PLWH as animators will greatly change the mentality of the local population, which no doubt, is another way towards better communication for behavioral change towards prevention of the disease.
Development of the human resources of the clergy, AIDS orphans, PLWH, health staff, FBOs elders and members, local NGO partners, etc, in the execution, management and administration of HIV/AIDS projects will be reinforced.
The project will ameliorate the living conditions of AIDS orphans and vulnerable children and PLWH and in the long term, amelioration of the productivity of the population, hence a contribution to poverty alleviation.
