The well-known English pub, "The Grapes" was on the Guy’s Hospital site and between Harry and John’s office, the squash court, the pub and the laboratory, we threw around many ideas. It was a very stimulating environment. Harry and John were always brimming with ideas and the notice board in their office had little memos stuck all over it containing ideas for new experiments and directions – I suspect many of them are still waiting to be done!
