When you open the program,  the introductory screen appears with an expandable contents list on the left and an informative window on the right.  Interactive elements appear superimposed on the right hand page.

Studying Populations has been programmed in the Microsoft help file format common to most programs running under Windows 95 and later.  If you are familiar with help files, you should find it very easy to navigate around SP.

The tool bar at the top of the help file window provides navigational buttons and the tabs above the contents list allow book marking and word searches across all the instructional text.
