The movement for child protection was considered as an open struggle against a series of enemies. The identification of this enemies was part of the process. Ignorance, selfishness and indiference were considered as the main enemies to be defeated. The weapons were among other things: the motherīs milk as the best nutrition for babies, health education for women, legislative measures and the training of specific childrenīs health professionals and institutions.
