This is the main (internal) webpage for a current project. In addition to the visible headings, this page also summarizes details such as data sources, study population, study period, as well as key methods.

The table of contents on the left hand side provide links to the methods and analyses sections on this main page (from here users can link to other pages with further details), and to project sub-directories which contain all project-related documents. These directories are accessible by all project team members.

When its use is maximized, a project website provides a complete account of the entire research process:

Team members, especially analysts and programmers, can use it to confirm that the latest definitions are being used.
Investigators can use the documented information when writing the final report.
Other research teams can quickly access a summary of the project and understand ‘behind-the-scenes’ processes, such as reasons for certain decisions; this information is useful as they plan their own projects.
