The provision for management review is designed to ensure that management (who are sufficiently senior in the organisation to be able to make decisions for change) periodically assesses how the organisation’s quality system is working.

Management review should be able to identify changes that need to occur in how the organisation is functioning, and to initiate changes.

One consideration at management review is the resources of the organisation - whether they are adequate for the functions being undertaken.

The adequacy of staff training should also be considered. New staff training requirements may be identified.
