2. Pre-market Batch Testing

Pre-market batch testing may be regulated by a government e.g. FDA, TGA. Usually a panel of samples is tested in a central laboratory under these circumstances.

Other measures such as Quality Control Sample monitoring or reactor rate monitoring may be used but these are often not "pre-market". Laboratories may reserve a panel to test new batches and have an "acceptance contract" that a batch can be refused if the performance is not acceptable.
