Quality Assurance is achieved by a series of processes that assure the most accurate and highest quality result.

To achieve high quality results, input from all members of every laboratory in a testing network is required. All laboratory personnel should be aware of the necessity for a quality performance. This requires education throughout the testing system.

In some countries Quality Assurance Systems are being imposed because laboratories require accreditation to national or international standards.
