During the past 5 years the Lingua Franca of health research and science has become PowerPoint. Most of our current scientific knowledge has been assembled in PowerPoint lectures. Moreover the growth of PowerPoint on the net has been astonishing.  In 1994 there were few lectures, now there are over  5 million. If we could establish a global system to make the academic lectures freely accessible in a virtual Library of lectures we could markedly improve the sharing of our prevention knowledge.

Supercourse is the global library of lectures shared for free by 58,000 faculty members from 174 countries of the world. It was originally funded by NASA and the National Library of Medicine, NIH, USA. It is currently partially supported by the Library of Alexandria, Egypt and donations of Supercourse users from around the world. If you would like to make a donation to the Supercourse project, please visit http://www.pitt.edu/~super1/Donation/donate.htm

We have been working on “Telepreventive medicine” or the use of Inexpensive Low to High bandwidth systems designed to reach large numbers of healthy people to prevent disease.
