Pablo Durán is Associate Research in the Center of Studies on Infant Nutrition and Faculty in the Public Health Department, University of Buenos Aires since 1992. He received his medical degree from the University of Buenos Aires and a master of public health degree from Universidad del Salvador (Buenos Aires, Argentina), and a fellowship in the Program in International Nutrition in the Division of Nutritional Sciences at Cornell University.
His experience is related to nutrition epidemiology and maternal and child nutrition. During the last ten years he conducted different research activities related to maternal and child health and nutrition, iron deficiency assessment and clinical nutrition. He has participated as lecturer and directed different courses on epidemiology and health programs, nutrition epidemiology and public health.
His present activities are focused on researching on iron deficiency assessment, breastfeeding and lead-iron interactions.
