The more colors one uses for the slide, the larger the size
of the slide image which slows the download speed of the
slide. This is why you have to choose a single color for
the slide background. Generally total size of the page for
the web is recommended less than 40k. However, as the
supercourse is a series of slide presentation, we try to
reduce the image size as small as possible. The average
size of the slide of the supercourse is less than 6K.
How to handle images in the slide is beyond the scope of
this lecture. Sometimes, people incorporate very big images
into a slide (size of the image more than 1000 pixels) You
can check the size of the image using graphic software and if
you find it very big, you can reduce its size and incorporate
the reduced size image into the slide. This can reduce the
image size as well.
