Relation between CHD in type 2 diabetes and apolipoprotein B gen polymorphhism

Conclusion
In China, now the work have been developed to research the relationship between lipid problems and non-insulin dependent diabetes mellitus(NIDDM), in following two aspects: 1)comparison of BMI and serum lipids between patient with NIDDM and normal control group (see attached table ); 2) genetic analysis for lipid genotype related to NIDDM. The later work included polymorphic analysis of allele frequencies of CETP, apoE, Lp(a), apo B(EcoRI and XbaI) and lipoprotein lipase(HindIII) genes, but only few there were some differences of the allele frequencies between NIDDM and control groups (Table). The serum results showed that NIDDM may induce some complications associated closely with lipoprotein metabolism disorders, such as arteriosclerosis, coronary arteriosclerosis diseases and hypertension.
